Getting Here...

By boat, by ferry, by plane, or... a nice long swim??

Enjoy the scenic ride over to Kelleys Island! Once you're here, you can begin your adventures on foot, golf cart, bike or even your own car. 

PRO TIPS:

• Bring sunscreen and reapply often!
• Make sure you arrive about 15 minutes before the ferry you intend to take is scheduled to leave. Allow for more time during summer weekends, especially if bringing your vehicle across as there may be lines at the ticket booth. The same applies for the Jet Express from Sandusky, though they do not allow vehicles on board.
• Research your on-island transportation options if you won’t be using your car. We have multiple golf cart rentals and bike rentals available.
• Bring enough water to keep you hydrated!
• Bring your swimsuit! We have two public beaches for your enjoyment.
• Don’t forget to visit natural areas.
• Be sure to read up on our island’s history and visit our museum!
• Support our local shops, bars, and restaurants. Tip generously!
• Dress appropriately for the weather - conditions can change in an instant!
• Stop into the Kelleys Island Chamber of Commerce office to pick up maps, brochures, and to ask any questions you may have about the island.
