Kelleys Island can be traveled by golf cart, bicycle, taxi, automobile, or on foot.
However, with over four square miles of area and eleven miles of shoreline to see, many visitors find that some type of vehicle is necessary to see everything the island has to offer. Many restaurants, bars, and shops are located downtown, just seconds from the Jet Express dock or a scenic ten-minute walk from the Kelleys Island ferry. But some of the island’s best treasures – the Glacial Grooves, the brewery and the winery, and the parks and preserves are a little further afield.
Golf carts are available for rental at the Seaway Marina, where the Kelleys Island Ferry stops, as well as from many of the downtown businesses. Click the button above to visit our Golf Cart Rentals page.
Bicycles are available for rental from several businesses downtown, and at the northern end of Division Street, near the State Park. Click the button above to visit our Bike Rentals page.
In addition to the rental options above, vehicles can be brought over to the island on the Kelleys Island Ferry. Check their website for the latest rates and information. Keep in mind that on busy weekends and holidays, you may have to wait in longer ferry lineups when traveling to and from the island!
