Discover nature on Kelleys Island!

In 1992 a small group of Kelleys Island residents formed the Kelleys Island Audubon Club to protect, preserve and develop natural habitat for the birds and wildlife that inhabit the island. The meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month May through October at Estes School on Ward Street. The membership has grown to 80+ members and each meeting provides an opportunity to socialize with a potluck dinner and nature related programs. Dues are minimal, at ten dollars per person and twenty-five dollars per family.

Of special interest the "Nest With the Birds" program is held in May and the "Feathers and Foliage Festival" is held in mid September. Every year we will be banding birds on Kelleys Island at Long Point during these two events. All programs are free of charge and all are welcome.

For information regarding the Kelleys Island Audubon Club or the "Nest with the Birds" and "Feathers and Foliage Festival" programs please contact the club President, Pat Hayes, at 419.746.2258.
