Golf Carts and Bikes are a great way to get around the island.  Take your time and enjoy.  Take in the beauty of the island and surrounding Lake Erie while also admiring some of the beautiful historic homes on the island.  Along the way, visit the Glacial Grooves, Kelleys Island State Park and Beach, Inscription Rock, Scheele Preserve, N. Pond State Nature Preserve & North Shore Loop Hiking Trail.

We offer both Electric and Gas Carts in 2, 4, and 6 seat variety and adult-sized gearless bikes. This year, we are now also offering overnight rentals for our gas 4 and 6 seater carts.  First Come, First Served. 

Directions: 

The Caddy Shack Rental booth is near the sidewalk at the entrance of Caddy Shack Square - located in downtown Kelleys Island.  It’s about 1/4 block north of main intersection on Division Street, across the driveway from the old fashioned 18 hole Putt-Putt and Dipper Dan’s Ice Cream Stand.  It is 2 blocks west or left when exiting the Kelleys Island Ferry dock and 1 block straight up (crossing Lakeshore Dr) from the Jet Express Ferry dock.

Trivia: Caddy Shack Golf Cart and Bike Rentals has been in business since 1991. The business was purchased as a Putt-Putt with Golf Cart and Bike Rental. The little waterfall in the middle of the Putt-Putt was believed to have been built by Burt Miller and “Bud” Holmes in the late 60’s though was not working in 1991. It was refurbished in 2010 and is usually stocked with gold fish during the season.  

While at Caddy Shack Square, you can also pick out your favorite Tofts ice cream at Dipper Dans, try your skill at Mini-Golf, or relax and have a few drinks at The Sand Trap Tiki Bar – all just steps away from Caddy Shack Rental booth!  It doesn’t get any better than that!

At this time we do not accept cart reservations.

How much do your golf carts cost?

What are your hours?

Memorial Day to Labor Day (Friday and Saturday): 10am to 9:30pm or until dark.

Memorial Day to Labor Day (Sunday – Thursday): 10am to 8pm. 

Before Memorial Day or after Labor Day, Golf Cart rentals will have earlier closing times and hours are to be determined.

Hours can vary during the season or with inclement weather conditions. 

Please confirm with Caddy Shack Rental employee on latest cart return time.

Do I need a car seat for my child on the golf cart? 

The same laws apply as do with cars.  Car seats are required for infants and children under 40 pounds.

I am sorry but we do not supply child/infant car seats

Can my kid drive the golf cart?

Children are not allowed to drive golf carts under any circumstances.

Drivers must be 18 and have a valid drivers license as well as car insurance.

Can golf carts go on any road on the island? 

Yes, golf carts are allowed to be on the road on Kelleys Island

How fast are the golf carts?

The average speed is about 15-20 mph

Do you have coupons?

We do not have coupons at this time.

Do you have battery or gas carts?

We have both gas and battery 

Can a golf cart be rented overnight?

Yes, this year you will be able to rent a gas cart for overnight.
