Whether you're a seasoned veteran of our race or a first-time participant, we're thrilled to have you join us for this exciting event. As we lace up our running shoes and hit the pavement, we're not just running a race – we're celebrating our vibrant community and the beautiful island we call home.

Last year, we faced challenges as the race was met with unexpected weather conditions, but through determination and support, our runners persevered. We witnessed the spirit of camaraderie as runners crossed the finish-line, cheered on by friends, family, and strangers alike. The Kelleys Island Chamber of Commerce is proud to host a race that brings people together from near and far for a family-friendly event that showcases the unique charm of our island.

As you prepare for race weekend, here are some tips to make the most of your experience:

  • Find the perfect place to stay: Many of our local accommodations offer late check-out on Sunday, allowing you to relax and freshen up after the race.
  • Plan your itinerary: Explore our island trails, take advantage of runner discounts at retail shops, and enjoy specials at bars and restaurants throughout the weekend.
  • Start your journey with a boat ride: Reserve your spot on one of the ferries from Dockers, Seaway, Westbay, or Crafts, and don't forget to mention that you're a runner to receive a discount at the Kelleys Island Ferry Boat Line in Marblehead.

For more information about the race, including road closures and details, visit our website or find us on Facebook. And as you prepare for race day, don't forget to set the mood with some Jimmy Buffett tunes and layer up to stay warm in our island temperatures.

This year, we're excited to welcome Metro Health to our emergency services presence, ensuring the safety and well-being of all our participants. So, pad your arrival time, hydrate often, run your own race, practice gratitude, and above all, enjoy the beauty of our Great Lake as you race towards the finish line.

Thank you for being a part of our annual tradition – we can't wait to see you on race day!
